Arizona

Colorado
ELIGIBILITY:
1.) Tuition assistance for dependents
of deceased or permanently disabled Colorado National Guardsmen, law enforcement officers
or firemen, or dependents of POWs and MIAs who were from Colorado when entering the
military.
2.) Tuition assistance to Colorado Vietnam
veterans on active duty during the Vietnam War (8/5/64-5/12/75).
BENEFITS:
1.) Dependents: Limited amount of
tuition at Colorado Public institutions. Student must be eligible for educational
benefits provided by the federal government for these circumstances and may be required to
show financial need. Limit: 12 academic quarters or 8 semesters.
2.) Vietnam Vets: Available to
qualifying veterans for an eight-year period after discharge. Assistance is equal to
one-half of the "weighted average resident tuition." Student must show
financial need at time entering active duty. Benefits are limited to 132 semester
hours.

to Colorado residents attending postsecondary institutions in Colorado. Contact:

Idaho
Scholarship for children of MIA/POW service member. The
service member must be listed as MIA/POW at the time the application is made.

Nevada
ELIGIBILITY:
Military personnel are eligible to qualify for resident
fees. The spouse and children of military personnel are also eligible for resident
fees.
BENEFITS: Waiver of nonresident fees.

choice.
New Mexico
ELIGIBILITY:
Children (age 16-26) of deceased veterans who were New
Mexico residents at the time of entry into military service, served during period of armed
conflict, were Killed in Action or died as a result of such military service; also
children of deceased members of New Mexico National Guard and New Mexico Police killed
while on active duty.
BENEFITS:
Full tuition at all state schools; $300 maximum for
matriculation, fees, board, room, books, supplies at state colleges.

Wyoming
ELIGIBILITY:
1.) Survivors' and Dependents' Education
(Chapter 35): Dept. of Veteran Affairs administers educational assistance benefit programs
for eligible spouses and children of:
- Veterans who died, or are permanently and totally disabled as the result
of disability arising from active service in the Armed Forces;
- Veterans who died form any cause while rated permanently- and
totally-disabled from service-connected disability;
- Service persons currently MIA or captured in the line of duty by foreign
government power.

2.) Vietnam Veteran's Scholarship:
Wyoming veterans with one year residency, in active service with the U.S. Armed
Forces between 8/5/65 and 5/7/75 who received Vietnam service medal between those dates
may be eligible for up to ten semesters of free tuition (not including fees) at the
University of Wyoming or at any of the state's community colleges. Only veterans who
have exhausted their VA benefits entitlements may be qualified to receive funds from this
program
BENEFITS:
1.) Survivors: Monthly funding
amount is available to assist eligible students.
2.) Vietnam Vets: Free Tuition at
University of Wyoming or Wyoming community colleges.
